I felt as if I definitely improved in my WP2 compared to my WP1 paper. This is because I was able to structure my ideas better as well as include a lot more of my own analysis. I took what I learned from WP1 and applied it to WP2, which as a result made the writing process a little easier. I was also happy with my ability to use data from the text in order to make my argument stronger, and also to make a better thesis statement.
One comment I received yesterday that was most helpful was to make my thesis statement more debatable because it allowed me to make more of an argument. Another comment was to fix wording in certain areas because it allowed my paper to flow better.
I felt as if the Peer/Reader Review session from Monday was definitely better than the old school way. It made it easy to make comments on the papers in certain specific areas as well as not discourage you to make any criticisms.
I totally agree about the feeling better about WP2 than WP1. I felt like I also knew what the standards were and also had a better skills set for this paper. Plus I found that although the prompt was super lengthy, it was more interesting because you were actually writing about a topic and not just a bizarre genre. I also enjoyed the online peer review. It was cool that you got to see what everyone was posting live and I found it a lot more helpful then the old school way.
